Mario Marino gehört zu den leidenschaftlichsten und begabtesten PortraitPhotographen unserer Tage. Seine Motive findet er auf seinen zahlreichen Reisen, die ihn zwischen 2013 und 2016 von Europa nach Afrika, Lateinamerika und immer wieder nach Indien führten. Im Mittelpunkt seines Werkes steht für den Photographen der Mensch. Voller Empathie und Interesse am Gegenüber gelingt es ihm, ausdrucksstarke Portraits zu gestalten. Mit einfachen Mitteln und natürlichem Licht erreicht er eine unmittelbare Eindringlichkeit in seinen Motiven. Seine Portraits sind zugleich bestechend einfach und kunstvoll vieldeutig. His portraits are captivatingly simple and artistically ambiguous at the same time. The motifs obtain tremendous power specifically as a result of their reduction.
